The wait is over! Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer is finally here and given its content, one is sure to be surprised at the way Jyn Erso has been presented. However, it has ample clues to keep fans hooked till December when the movie hits the theaters.

The new trailer of 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' offers a different look at Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and she seems to have been sidelined, reports The Hollywood Reporter. She does not look like her older self; one that brought a disruptive presence with her character.

Her agency and independence is conspicuously missing. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer shows her as a child who is being told that her father is protecting her. Later, she is seen pleading with her allies to have hope. It appears as though she is just a rebel, needing the help of men around her and a girl who wants to save her father.

After the release of the poster, the trailer also seems to be promising and gives the old Star Wars feel. The elements of teamwork and familial connections look like course correction measures and this is really some good news for fans of the franchise. As for the badass Jyn we saw earlier, one can only hope that she is still alive and the movie has balanced her strong and soft sides.

Coming to the trailer, it is buzzing with hidden clues, claims The Verge. The opening scene gives a scenic view of a ringed planet where an Imperial shuttle is coming in for a landing. It is followed by the Imperial landing team that comprises the Death Troopers, working under Director Krennis but the best part is looking at Galen Erso.

He is seen having a word with daughter Jyn, who is later seen hiding in the bushes. From the new trailer of 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', it is clear that she has been on her own and has probably gotten in trouble with the law. However, another shot shows her getting rescued by Captain Cassian Andor as it looks like the rebels know her connection to her father and his role in the creation of Death Star.
