In his Instagram post, T.O.P warned his Chinese fans to refrain from stalking him as he was forced to call the police for apprehension.

"To my Chinese fans... Please don't come to my house... Hearing my doorbell ring all night, I'm scared to death. My heart's going to explode. I have been patient until now, but from now on I'm going to report it all to the police," T.O.P said, as reported by Soompi.

BIGBANG's oldest member suggested visiting tourist spots in Seoul like Gwanghwamum instead of his home, Allkpop reported.  "Gwanghwamun is a great tourist spot. It's so beautiful. The charisma of King Sejong the Great in the plaza is amazing," he added. Fans reacted to the idol's post, saying that they were also worried about his security and privacy. Some, however, commented that T.O.P. should deal with the problem because he is famous.

Family and friends of T.O.P hope that fans would understand their idol's plead for his privacy and peace of mind.

Throughout K-Pop's history, T.O.P is not only one who has complained about saesang fans. A few years back, his fellow member G-Dragon took to Twitter demanding fans not to visit his home because his mother and sister no longer enjoy privacy. Some idols complained about fans desperately hacking their social media accounts and even their bank accounts. Death threats, weird gifts, and phone tracking are just some of the other things idols have received from fans. Car accidents have even occured as a result of saesang fans trailing their idols on the road at the expense of following traffic rules. Although idols plead almost everyday for their fans to respect their privacy, their calls have fallen to several deaf ears.
