It appears as if former NBA star Lamar Odom just can't quit the party life.

According to a new report in TMZ, the one-time Sixth Man of the Year winner has been acting "very strange" in recent weeks, and when concerned friends came to his home, they stumbled upon crack pipes, baggies and marijuana.

Does that sounds like a recovering user to you?

Odom reportedly dismissed the idea of rehab when friends broached the subject and has been standoffish and aloof when questioned about his activities these days.

"But multiple sources close to Odom - hoping to get through to the NBA star - tell us he's been acting very strange lately," TMZ reports. "His friends are convinced he's off the wagon, and for the last few weeks they've been trying to get through to him.

"So, a group of people went to his home to convince him to enter rehab - but Odom scoffed...telling the group he doesn't need any help. It sounds just like the failed intervention attempt from 2013."

The two-time NBA champion has long struggled with issues of drug abuse, but he was thought to have cleaned up his act after his near fatal collapse at a Nevada brothel last fall following three straight days of hard partying and drug abuse. Unfortunately, it sounds as if the near-death experience may have had the opposite effect.

TMZ reports that Odom's friends now believe the former NBA vet thinks he's invincible after surviving his overdose. He has been spotted at bars around town over the last few weeks despite his status as a "recovering user."

Here's to hoping that Odom finally realizes the severity of his situation and begins to right the ship.

Odom's last action in the NBA came in 2012-13 in which he played in 82 games for the Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged just 4.0 points, 1.7 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game.
