Former NBA star Lamar Odom caused a stir when he was spotted out enjoying drinks at an Irish pub in Sherman Oaks, Calif. over Easter weekend, just five months after he was found unconscious after a near-fatal drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. But sources close to Odom say there's no need for concern about Odom's health or his recovery process.

Odom arrived at the Johnny O'Brien Irish bar just before midnight on Saturday (March 26) with two male friends, according to pub staffers and patrons. Odom and his pals stood at the bar for about an hour and Odom enjoyed three Remy Martin drinks before leaving at around 1 a.m. on Sunday. He was spotted hours later attending church services with his estranged wife, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Khloé Kardashian.

Many have expressed concern about Odom's health since he has remained in a fragile state after his drug and alcohol binge last October. He remained in a coma for three days and suffered organ damage, but he made a miraculous recovery and entered a rehabilitation program where he learned how to swallow, breath and walk on his own. But despite his night out last weekend, Odom remains focused on his continuous recovery process.

"Lamar has no issues with drinking," an insider said. "He was not drunk or out of control after his bar visit. He is well aware of what he is doing and he is not going to f--k it up. Khloé supports him and is still taking care of him. She is really pleased with how well he is recovering."

Odom's estranged wife, Kardashian, posted a cryptic tweet on Tuesday after news of Odom's pub outing broke. "I hate this feeling.... Helpless," she wrote on Twitter.

But sources said even though Kardashian wasn't happy with the idea of Odom hanging out at a bar given his history with drug and alcohol abuse, but she felt a little more at ease since he was with a security guard whom she knows very well.

"Khloé is really trying to help Lamar get his life back but doesn't want to make him feel like she's controlling him or make him feel suffocated," the source revealed. "She continues to support him through the recovery process and, since he does have a history with addiction, she is worried but isn't going to intervene unless it turns into a problem."
