Scandal Season 3 Spoilers: Stars Talk Huckleberry Quinn Torture; 'I Think They're Definitely Going to Come Back From It'

Last week's episode broke the hearts of many Huckleberry Quinn fans - and probably just confused everyone else.

Maybe you were like me in thinking Huck (Guillermo Diaz) was about to help Quinn (Katie Lowes) get out of B-613. So, when he began to torture her, you had to take a minute to figure out what was happening. However, u may have felt about the torture scene, according to a recent interview Diaz and Lowes did with EOnline, the two stars are hoping Huck and Quinn can "somehow" get past this.

"I think they're definitely going to come back from it, I don't know how, but I think they're both tortured and they're both jaded now, but they're still part of the same dysfunctional family," Diaz told EOnline.

"They're both kind of coming from the same world somewhat. Quinn tortured someone a little bit for that Cytron card," he adds. "I just can't wait to see how Shonda is going to try and make it work. I don't think they're going anywhere. I think they're going to stay in each other's lives and somehow, as crazy as it sounds, I think they're going to get past it."

Lowes said she's hoping her character and Huck recover their relationship. However, she's not sure how that will end up.

"I do think she'll be forever changed and I don't know what Huckleberry Quinn's relationship will look like in the future," Lowes said according to the website. "I feel like the fans on Twitter who just root for them.

"I feel for them and I hold out hope, but I don't know," she adds. "I don't know what's going to happen."

In a separate interview with TVGuide.com, Lowes and Diaz both agreed they'd rather not see Huckleberry Quinn become more than friends.

"We love their mentor-mentee relationship, but now that their relationship has basically gone to hell - and we can't say hell and back - I don't know if that will ever be in the Huckleberry Quinn future that it will ever turn sexual," Lowes said.

"I think it's more interesting that they're not romantically involved," Diaz said.

However, Lowes added the two actors are "game for anything."

"Scandal" airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
