In an interview with Marie Claire in the UK, "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart talks about her different versions of happiness.
"I'm a miserable c***! I'm not sure if I'm most happy when I'm comfortable and content or when I'm pushing myself to the limits." she said.
"There are such different versions of happy. And I really appreciate both."
Stewart told MTV News about her role played as Marylou in Jack Kerouac's adaptation of "On the Road." She expressed her desire to do sex scenes on screen. And in the movie, there will be many instances where Stewart's not wearing anything.
"But I love pushing, I love scaring myself," she said. "I really wanted to do the sex scenes. As long as you're being really honest there's nothing ever to be ashamed of."
Stewart added how she coped with the intimate scenes: "Once we got on set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us. So it was like, 'OK, so I have to take my clothes off?' It's so not a big [deal]."
Stewart was initially approached to play this role when she was 17, but said she's glad she did not have to do that then.
"I should have definitely been older than 17 while playing this part, absolutely," she said. "[My performance] would have been done very differently if I was younger. I wouldn't have played the part, obviously."
According to Stewart, the role of Bella in the "Twilight" series isn't really what she is in real life.
"I always wanted Bella to be unassuming, yet cooler than everyone else," she said. "We both wear lots of casual clothes. But her actual style is very far away from mine. After I'd been playing a stripper in 'Welcome to the Rileys,' I was definitely not wearing enough clothing. I looked back and thought, 'That's so not me', but it was fun."
Stewart explained it took a lot of courage to play the role of Marylou, but it increased her desire to discover the fearlessness of the world.
"I don't want this to be misconstrued in anyway, but you do want to get as close to an experience as you can," she said. "Anything that feels guarded, in this particular movie especially, would just be so against the spirit of it."
