Move over Kardashian and Jenner sisters, there is a new family member taking over the fashion industry. Caitlyn Jenner, a former Olympian, is set to star in a new sports campaign for fashion retailer H&M.

The 66-year-old announced the exciting news Thursday night on her social media accounts after rumors of a collaboration between the two had been rumored for months.

"Backstage with @hm! So proud to be part of their inspiring #HMSport campaign. #MoreIsComing #StayTuned," Jenner wrote on Twitter.

The details surrounding the endorsement are still scarce, but during a Q&A session with H&M, the company revealed why they chose Jenner as the new face of the brand.

"We want to illustrate that everything is possible - in sports and in life," a spokesperson for H&M explained. "It is a collection of performance sportswear made to celebrate individuality and self-belief."

The company called Jenner "one of the world's most celebrated athletes" and said that H&M wanted to "show diversity and a range of personalities" in everything the company does and designs.

While the "I Am Cait" star seemed to be an obvious choice for H&M Sport spokesmodel, the company knew not everyone would agree with the choice.

"We strive to convey an image of diversity in all that we do and we welcome all people inspired by fashion," the spokesperson continued. "We want our advertising to inspire as many people as possible and we target a wide and diverse target group."

This is not Jenner's first endorsement deal with a huge company. She previously announced the news that she's partnering up with giant makeup brand MAC Cosmetics. Her first product with MAC will be a lipstick shade named Finally Free, and all proceeds from the $17 item will go to the MAC AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative.

"MAC was the first to come to me, and a company, I realized, would really make a big commitment," Jenner said. "I knew the Viva Glam campaigns; I saw that the proceeds were going, in those cases, mainly to AIDS and HIV causes, and I was wondering if they were interested in doing something specifically geared toward trans issues because we need funding."

While Jenner is the first person from her famous clan to model for H&M Sport, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" family already have a history in the world of athletic-focused fashion. Kim Kardashian's husband Kanye West has his own line, Yeezy, and frequently works with Adidas, while Jenner's youngest daughter Kylie Jenner was recently named the new face of Puma.
