It's no secret that Caitlyn Jenner's transition from male to female was extremely difficult for her ex-wife Kris Jenner. The matriarch of the Kardashian/Jenner kids stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday and opened up to the talk show host about Caitlyn's recent revelation that she may date men in the future.

"The last time you were here on the show, you were here with Bruce on Valentine's Day," DeGeneres recalled to Kris, as pictures of the former couple that were married for 23 years flashed across the screen. "And now she is Caitlyn. It's confusing because for a while she was not saying whether she was going to date women or men, and now apparently she has said that she's going to date men."

"I saw that, too," replied Kris to Caitlin saying she doesn't see herself "dating women in the future" in the "I Am Cait" season 2 trailer. Kris revealed that the scenario was "confusing for sure," but she wanted Caitlyn to be who she truly wants to be.

"I think that I really want her to be happy and be really comfortable in all the things where she says she wasn't her true authentic self for most of her life. [She] knew when she was 4 that she felt like that. So you don't want somebody to be miserable or in pain or anything of that," said Kris.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star then told DeGeneres that she was still "getting used" to the entire situation.

"I think for me, just getting used to that - you know I am human and I have my feelings and I try and it's baby steps - and it's like the mourning of somebody that you feel you are never going to really see or be with again," she said.

"It's confusing because for as long as you know or anyone knows he was only with women," DeGeneres said of Caitlyn, who also has two other ex-wives, Chrystie Scott and Linda Thompson.

"Right, that part I don't understand," Kris said.

"Well, I said to her when this first happened, I said, 'You are so excited, you have to wait for the rest of us to catch up - like, we haven't had as many drinks as you!' " Kris added with a smile. "You know what I'm saying? Like when you're at a party and every else is smashed and you're like, just getting started."
