Beyonce ousts Kim Kardashian to become the most searched person on Bing for the year 2013.
The search engine Bing announced Monday that Beyonce was the most searched person for the year 2013, followed by Kim Kardashian who had topped the list last year.
The listing couldn't have come at a better time for the singer. Beyone took some time off last year for the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy. Her return was well crafted this year with her performance at President Barack Obama's inauguration, followed by her Super Bowl show in February. She started her world tour, the Mrs. Carter Show, in April. In between the singer filmed a documentary on her life , which was aired by HBO.
In spite of big events this year, like giving birth to her first daughter North West and getting engaged to rapper Kanye West, Kardashian failed to retain her number one spot on the list, though she did manage to come in a close second. She had topped the list in 2010 and 2012.
Females hogged the top five spots this year with Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Madonna occupying the other three slots. Pop-star Justin Bieber dropped to number six on the list after being placed at number 2 last year. Troubled actress Amanda Bynes made the list at number 8 while Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus rounded up the top 10 on the list.
Former Denver Broncos football quarterback Tim Tebow was the most-searched sports person, while the Dallas Cowboys topped the most-searched sports team.
