Microsoft has taken pot shots at almost all leading tech companies and now it is the turn of the tech giant, Samsung. The software giant shows how the Surface 2 tablet is superior to Galaxy Tab 3 in its latest advertisements.

Microsoft has been very busy attacking its rivals to promote its own products and services. It all started with a direct attack on Google's services including Gmail, YouTube and Chrome browser. The Redmond-based, California, software giant started a campaign,  "Scroogled" and a series of merchandize that slammed Google's data collection practice. The software giant took potshots at Google through advertisements. Microsoft hired "Pawn Stars" actors for its ad implying Chromebooks weren't "real laptops."

The one-sided war continues as Microsoft has released another advertisement to show its Surface tablet's convenience over an Apple iPad Air. With all these targeted advertisements, Microsoft is trying to convey one message -  its services including, Bing search engine, Outlook.com email service, and Surface tablets are better than any other products and services in the market.

The software company has taken pot shots at almost all leading tech companies, and now it is the turn of the leading tech giant, Samsung.

In two latest commercials, Microsoft compares Samsung Galaxy Tab with its very own Surface RT. Both videos show one feature each that Surface offers and Galaxy Tab lacks. In the first ad, as shown below, Microsoft shows how the full sized USB supports use of multiple external devices. The very reason behind showing off its unique feature is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab lacks it.

In a second video ad (embedded below), Microsoft boasts about its multiple accounts feature that comes with the Windows OS in Surface RT, something the Galaxy Tab does not possess, as Microsoft notes.

Microsoft is trying hard to attract more buyers for its tablets and users for its services. But is it worth it running down other companies to promote Microsoft products?

You be the judge.
