Reign CW: Mary Has Chemistry With Both Bash and Francis; Review After First 6 Episodes

As we come upon the last few episodes of Reign for 2013, let's take a look back at what the freshman series has given us so far. We've gotten love triangles, rivalries and a mysterious girl named Clarissa. Let's review shall we:

THUMBS UP:

Before "Reign" even aired its first episode the scene was set for the love triangle between Francis/Mary/Bash. Mary's already kissed both and we've seen she seems to have feelings for Francis and his half-brother. Adelaide Kane has excellent on-screen chemistry with Torrance Coombs and Tony Regbo which makes the #TeamBash and #TeamFrancis rivalry fairly even. The writers and producers have also done a great job adding a bit of mystery with the pagans and with Clarissa. We never know when we will see either throughout the show. In addition the love triangle "Reign" has provided many romances to root for or against - Leith/Greer, King Henry/Kenna, Francis/Olivia, Bash/Lola - just to name a few. Now, I will admit I'm not a history buff but from what I understand there are some who take issue to the creative license the show has taken with historical facts. To those people I must say, this is The CW not The History Channel.

THUMBS DOWN:

While I like the mystery of Clarissa - I haven't really seen Clarissa. Let me explain. When we first began the show it appeared as if the little girl with the burlap sack covering her face was going to be fairly important. However, we've barely seen her. Hopefully the writers will focus on her more as the story progresses. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what she's been up to in the castle walls.

"Reign" airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
