The DiNozzo men will reunite one more time on "NCIS" before Michael Weatherly says goodbye to his character Tony DiNozzo. Robert Wagner is set to reprise his role as Anthony DiNozzo Sr. in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama.

Wagner is scheduled to appear in episode 20, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 22. The veteran actor has guest starred in seven previous episodes, making his debut as Weatherly's TV father in season seven.

DiNozzo Sr. last visited his son in season 12 when he came to Washington D.C. to meet Tony's then-girlfriend, ATF Special Agent Zoë Keates (Marisol Nichols). Senior also considered moving into his son's apartment building but decided to let Tony have his space and considered moving into a "swanky" senior residence where "attractive, rich widows" live.

A reunion with his father could give Tony some clarity on where his life should go next. This season, the senior agent has struggled with past loves like ex-girlfriend Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) and he started to question his career trajectory at NCIS, especially when it comes to working with Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who has been his boss for more than 13 years.

DiNozzo broke off his relationship with Keates earlier this season and fans have speculated whether Tony would ultimately reunite with his former colleague Ziva David, bringing back former "NCIS" star Cote de Pablo. The short-lived couple last shared a moment two and half years ago on an airport tarmac in Israel where Ziva decided to stay in her home country while Tony headed back to D.C.

As of mid-January, the show had no plans for de Pablo to return for Weatherly's final episodes. The 47-year-old actor announced his exit from TV's most-watched drama series on Jan. 5 via Twitter.

"DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character & I couldn't have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons," he tweeted. "Les Moonves & CBS gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I will miss the amazing crew & cast, who are like family to me, & to the fans all over the world - THANK YOU, it's been a fantastic ride."

"NCIS" will celebrate its 300th episode when the show returns on Tuesday, March 15 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
