Blake Shelton Will Officiate at Kelly Clarkson's Wedding

Kelly Clarkson confirmed that country singer and "The Voice" mentor and judge, Black Shelton will officiate at her wedding.

Blake Shelton will be performing in Kelly Clarkson's wedding because he groom-to-be, Brandon Blackstock, has also been the country singer's manager. Now, according to a report by USA Today, singer Kelly Clarkson revealed to ET's Nancy O'Dell backstage at the ACM Awards on Sunday night that not only will Shelton be singing at her upcoming wedding, he will also be officiating the ceremony.

"He has done it before with people; he is actually marrying Ashley Monroe from the Pistol Annies as well," Clarkson told "Entertainment Tonight." "Well, we are already technically married when the ceremony happens, so it's not like it's going to be boring or anything because it's Blake,"

According to a report by The Los Angeles Times, Shelton also had a hand in bringing the groom and bride together.

"I told Brandon, 'Man, you need to grow up and figure out that you need to marry this girl'," Shelton told Hollyscoop in December after Clarkson announced her engagement to Blackstock. "I am going on the record saying, I will do the music at the wedding or whatever you want to do, I'll be that guy," he said, "I will play for four hours if I have to, cause you need to get you head out of your ... and ask that girl to marry you."

Meanwhile, at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Clarkson sounded starstruck. She took to her Twitter account and wrote, "So I'm about to rehearse on stage for the ACM's tonight and all of a sudden I find out Trisha freaking Yearwood is introducing me and I act like a total kid and freak out and am grinning from ear to ear and so flustered ....and THEN I go off stage and am still flustered and run right into George freaking Strait and he's sweet as can be and THEN I turn around and Garth Brooks is talking to me .....HOLY WORD I SHOULDN'T SAY ON TWITTER .....BEST DAY EVER!!!!! #ACMS"
