Following that was the news that the hit follow-up from Rockstar, "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" would receive similar treatment and was made available for mobile gamers soon after. Now fans can rejoice as the third installment of the pre PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 "Grand Theft Auto" series has been announced to be on its way.

"Grant Theft Auto: San Andreas" is coming to mobile devices in December, but it isn't a direct port of the classic PlayStation 2 game. According to IGN the updated version of San Andreas will feature "remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models."

In addition to the graphics updates, Rockstar has included new contextual controls, a new touch-screen control scheme, support for controllers and modified the checkpoint system, this way you likely won't have to restart entire missions after you fail them.

San Andreas is the game that's closest to the latest installment in the popular crime series from Rockstar. It takes place in Los Santos and some various other locations around the fictional state of San Andreas. It centers around some characters that there are winks to in the fifth game including one missions which has Trevor and Franklin get into a full on firefight with a rival gang at Grove St. the place where the protagonist in San Andreas, CJ, lived.

The remastered game is set to come out on iOS, Kindle, Windows Phone and Android devices this December.
