Viewers who are aca-sad about having to wait until next year for "Pitch Perfect 3" now have something to be aca-excited about. Lifetime is set to premiere its newest reality TV series tonight, "Pitch Slapped," which follows two real-life high school a cappella singing groups that, with the help of two top vocal coaches, will compete in a series of weekly aca-battles that lead up to a final round where one team will be crowned aca-champions.

A cappella powerhouse Deke Sharon will guide Stay Tuned, a group of teenagers from Cherry Hill, N.J., as they prepare to go up against rival high school a cappella team, Allendale, N.J.'s, The Voices, which will be coached by Diana Preisler of the a cappella pop group Blue Jupiter, according to Broadway World. The teens will practice under their coaches' expert supervision in order to prepare for their competitions and their journey will be documented in eight one-hour-long episodes.

A series of sneak peeks shows one young couple helping each other to hit their notes, and one young girl uses her boyfriend as her inspiration to sing her part of the 2014 hit song "No Place I'd Rather Be," by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne.

"I think of you when I sing the song," the girl tells her boyfriend.

Another clip shows coach Preisler gushing about her team's beat boxer, who "drums with his mouth," and is followed by an impressive clip of the teen showing off his beat-boxing skills.

And in a scene that could have been lifted from either film from the "Pitch Perfect" franchise, The Voices and Stay Tuned go head-to-head in a riff-off, where they stand on opposite ends of the locker-lined hallways of a New Jersey high school and sing clips from pop songs, trying to outdo one another.

Watch the clips below and be sure to catch the season premiere of "Pitch Slapped," airing tonight at 10 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
