Kim Kardashian West has a nice ring to it. The reality star told E! News that she plans on dropping her famous last name for Kanye West's last name once she's married.

The 33-year-old reality star said she won't hyphenate her name but will instead make Kardashian her middle name, something like what her sister Khloe Kardashian Odom did.

Kardashian didn't look too sure whether she would actually end up following through with the name change.  It was reported in the past that Kardashian said she wasn't going to change her name, something that upset West but pleased her mother Kris Jenner.

"Kanye is very disappointed and upset about the whole thing but Kim refuses to budge," a source told Star magazine over the summer. "She also thinks it's a way to let him know that she is not after him for his money."

In 2011, when Kardashian was preparing to walk down the aisle to Kris Humphries the reality was seen on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" debating whether she should take the last name Humphries.  She also reportedly told TMZ that she would be changing her name to Humphries but never went through with it.

"I don't think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries," Jenner told PopEater at the time. "I think she needs to be Kim Kardashian because she's worked so hard to get where she is."

Most likely Jenner will try and persuade her daughter from taking the last name West this time too. The new mom isn't the only family member thinking about changing their last name. Jenner said on a recent episode of the family reality show that she wanted to drop Jenner for Kardashian, something that didn't sit well with Bruce Jenner.

"Well, first of all, everybody already thinks I'm Kris Kardashian," she said to Bruce. "Everyone calls me Kris Kardashian, Mrs. Kardashian, all day long. I think people get kind of confused when they call here and they want a Kardashian and they get Jenner Communications. I think it'll be a good idea to change my name to Kardashian."

Bruce was clearly against it but now that the two are separated there have been rumors that the momager will definitely change her name back.
