Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox have released the official trailer for “Ice Age: Collision Course,” the fifth film in the popular animated franchise. The movie features the voices of Ray Romano, Denis Leary John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah and other major actors, and hits theaters July 22, 2016.

In the upcoming 3-D flick, Scrat the sabre-tooth squirrel, in his never-ending quest to obtain acorns, gets catapulted into the universe and “accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World,” according to the film’s description on its official YouTube page. “To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters.”

The four previous films in the franchise — “Ice Age,” “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” and “Ice Age: Continental Drift” — grossed $729.6 million domestically and more than $2.8 billion globally since debuting in 2002, according to ComingSoon.net.
