It was only a couple days ago the world learned that "Jersey Shore" star Pauly D had a secret baby. TMZ broke the news that the famous DJ was the father to five-month-old Amabella. Reportedly Pauly hooked up with Amanda Markert, the child's mother, in Las Vegas and is now a daddy.
The reality star has said countless times that he is excited to be a father and wants to be in the baby's life. In fact, when TMZ caught up with Pauly on Oct. 25 he told them he was making plans to visit Amabella for the first time next week.
Pauly and Markert are in a bitter custody battle over the baby. Reportedly Pauly wants "some type of custody" while Markert is seeking child support, TMZ reports. Recently, the former Hooters waitress was spotted visiting her lawyer in Atlantic City, N.J.
Pauly had told TMZ that the lawyers were going to handle everything and he really wanted both of the parents to be in Amabella's life. According to Hollywood Life, Markert also wants to work things out with the DJ and is hoping that the two can be co-parents.
There have been reports that she was denying Pauly the right to see his child but a source told TMZ that the last thing Markert wants is a custody battle.
"I'm just hoping she can have two parents in her life that could get along together, just for the sake of her," she said.
Markert even ranted on Twitter that the media was spinning stories about her and all she wants is what's best for Amabella.
"This is REALITY not REALITY sitcom! Leave your publicity mask at home. I'm sick of this!" she tweeted.
"And I know the importance of having both parents involved. I hope he ends this war and starts making the right choices," Markert posted.
"He has NEVER contacted me to see this child and I have never denied him his rights as a father," she continued.
Markert also hinted on Twitter that Pauly knew about the baby and pregnancy all along - despite reports claiming he just found out he was a dad - but never contacted her about seeing the little girl.
