The first and inaugural Test of the two match series between host New Zealand and Sri Lanka will be played at University Oval in Dunedin on Thursday.

Watch the live stream here, here and live scores here, here, here. The five day match starts at 10:30 a.m. local time on Dec. 10 or 9:30 p.m. GMT (4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT) on Dec. 9.

In a massive setback to visitors, wicket-keeper and opening batsman Kusal Perera tested positive for a banned substance and has been recalled from the ongoing tour of New Zealand.

"Sri Lanka Cricketer has been advised that a sample provided by Kusal Janith Perera for a random testing carried out by the ICC during the recent Pakistan tour has yielded a positive result for a banned substance," the board said in a statement, according to PTI.

Batsman Kausghal Silva replaced him in the Sri Lankan squad for its New Zealand tour, which include two Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODI) and two T20 international (T20I).

Perera's recall comes after Sri Lankan pacer Dhammika Prasad was also sent home due to back injury.

"That's obviously a bit of a hit for them, but now there's a chance for someone else to step up and (Sri Lanka) do have a few exciting young quicks that I'm sure will be looking forward to bowling in some more friendly conditions to what they're faced with at home," Black Caps's fast bowler Tim Southee said, according to Radio New Zealand.
