The Victorians have had an outstanding tournament so far. The Mashrafe Mortaza-led side registered a five-wicket win over the Chittagong Vikings in their previous game, played at Chittagong on Thursday, according to ESPNcricinfo. Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik's 34 off 23 balls helped the Victorians to seal their fifth win of the tournament.

Malik praised the leadership of Mortaza, describing him as an "extraordinary leader." "I don't need to explain anything about Mashrafe. Bangladesh's performance over the last year says it all for him. He is an extraordinary leader," Mallik said on Sunday, according to bdnews24.

"We are very fortunate to have the Bangladesh captain as our leader; it gives us an extra advantage. Where we are at the points table says a lot about his leadership," the Pakistani cricketer said.

The Riders, on the other hand, also booked their spot in the last four after registering a comfortable win against the Dhaka Dynamites on Sunday, according to the Daily Star. Battling first, the Kumar Sangakkara-led Dynamites had posted a modest total of 135 in 20 overs. The Riders easily chased the target with 10 balls remaining.
