Emma Watson took to her Twitter account to end recent rumors of her being cast as Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' novel "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Recent rumors said hacking group called Anonymous gained access to documents from German studio Constantin Film's servers, which stated that "Harry Potter" actress was cast for the role of Anastasia in the silver screen adaptation.
Waston took to her Twitter account Sunday to rubbish rumors and clarify that she will not be taking on the role.
"Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life," the 22-year-old tweeted.
The post received several replies from her fans, most of them saying they don't believe the rumors and the tweet was retweeted more than 35,000 times. After receiving thousands of responses, the actress followed her previous tweet with another tweet saying, "Good. Well that's that sorted then," with a smiley.
Author James also took to her Twitter account to confirm that no casting for the film has been done yet.
Watson gained instant fame at the young age of 11 with her debut film performance in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which was released in 2001. Since then she has been known as the good girl Hermione Granger. She's been trying to shed that image and in her upcoming film, "The Bling Ring," is seen stripping down to just her bra.
