Apple released iOS 7.0.3 – an update that adds iCloud Keychain and disables dizzying visual effects.
According to CNET, the new update, which was released along with Macs and new iPads, carries new features and some fixes. It also brings iCloud Keychain with it, which was initially planned to come out with iOS 7.
iCloud Keychain saves information like the users credit card information and keeps it synced up and available between devices, something that comes with a feature in Safari for iOS that can produce strong passwords.
Other fixes consist of reinstating an option to use the Web and Wikipedia from within the built-in Spotlight search tool when trying to find something on the Internet, and a tweak to the lock screen that holds up the "slide to unlock" instruction when the touch ID system is enabled for iPhone 5S users.
The update also tackles several iMessage bugs, fixing one issue where messages failed to send and another bug that caused iMessage activations to fail sometimes. The accelerometer calibration issue which iPhone owners have complained about because it could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice have also been addressed -- at least to some extent, said The Verge.
Apple also strengthened a feature that disables some of the new dizzying visual effects in iOS 7, which includes the parallax shifting that happens while users turn their iPhones around, as well as the animatronics wherein app icons fall down on the screen when the device is being unlocked.
As claimed by some iPhone users, those animatronics give them digital motion sickness. Apple iOS 7.0.3 removes the zooming between apps and other system menus to create a plain cross fade effect.
Apples iOS 7 was released to iPhone users last month with past updates paying attention on ironing out some early errors like a security issue that allowed users to unlock their passcode-secured phones even without a passcode.
