Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter, welcomed their first child, 5-month-old son Christopher Carlton, this past summer and the new father is ready for more kids.

"I've become a father and a husband, and in the right order - just," Cumberbatch joked on "The Graham Norton Show" (via People) airing Friday. "I might go for a (Cumber) batch of boys!"

Hunter gave birth to their son in June, following the couple's February nuptials. Cumberbatch also talked about his early days as a parent.

"It's everything. I have a new life form that needs his father's help in the world and his mother needs a little help once in awhile," the "Sherlock" star said. "It's what being a parent is about so it's not an excuse to get away from what I am doing - it's what I ought to be doing. After three and half hours of 'Hamlet,' I think that's OK."

Cumberbatch finished his run in "Hamlet" in October. He's currently filming the new Marvel movie, "Doctor Strange," and will start production on the fourth season of "Sherlock" in the spring.
