For all of you who are skeptical about Skye’s loyalties—get ready to feel that skepticism increase.
In a new sneak peek for Tuesday’s episode posted on the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Facebook page, the team is out looking for a suspect and eventually Ward get’s eyes on him and gives chase. The suspect hops into a car and soon Coulson, in a S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle, picks up where Ward left off. The suspect is able to use some hacking skills from a cell phone and manipulate the traffic lights to get away.
When he finally gets back to his apartment someone is there to greet him with the question:
“Are you sure you lost ‘em?”
That person? Skye.
After some back and forth, which includes a statement from Skye about the man almost ruining everything, they eventually start making out. You can watch the video here.
We’ve been questioning Skye’s motives ever since she sent the mysterious text in the first episode, which we guess was meant for the Rising Tide.
According to Executive Producer and Marvel Television boss Joseph Loeb, this particular episode could shed some light into Skye’s past with the organization.
“[Rising Tide] certainly will offer complications. Episode 5, in particular, will start to focus in more on that,” Loeb said according to TVLine during the 2013 New York Comic Con. “[The Big Bad] may be them, or it may be something else that delivers a smackdown. But there is something coming.”
I’m not ready to give up on Skye but she is sure making it harder to trust her.
