Desiree Hartsock was announced as the "Bachelorette" on the finale of "The Bachelor: After The Final Rose," which was aired Monday.
Hartsock, who competed against 26 women to win the heart of Sean Lowe in the 17th season of "Bachelor" will be taking her turn to choose the love of her life in the all new season of "Bachelorette" which starts in May.
The announcement made the news when show host Chris Harrison announced Hartsock as the next "Bachelorette" during the two-hour finale of Lowe's "Bachelor."
The 26-year old bridal stylist admitted that it came as a surprise to her for being the next "Bachelorette" when she had originally signed up for "The Bachelor."
"I just can't even believe I'm here. With the support of everyone, it's just such a blessing," Hartsock told Harrison on the Monday's live special "After the Final Rose." "I could never have imagined signing up for The Bachelor and having this opportunity."
Hartsock's couldn't control her emotions after hearing the announcement and brunette beauty appeared on the stage with teary eyes.
"If you're crying now, we're in for a long season together," Harrison said.
Hartsock motivated by the show, said she is positive to find the love of her life.
"I do believe [in the show]. I'm ready, I'm open and I've seen it happen," she said. "I did realize that the feelings are real - the emotions that you go through. It is a real relationship and I'm going to have many of them! I know that it can happen and one of them will be hopefully my true love, as cliché as it sounds."
Hartsock will try her luck in finding love like previous Bachelorettes Trista Rehn, Ashley Hebert, Emily Maynard and others. ABC's spin-off series will premier starting May 20 at 9 p.m.
