Edie Campbell Lands First Vogue Cover

Edie Campbell makes her debut appearance for Vogue in the April issue of the magazine's UK edition.

Campbell started her modeling career with a Vogue feature that was done by Mario Testino about up and coming young Londoners. The 22-year-old model's career has come full circle as she makes her Vogue cover debut in the magazine's U.K. edition's April issue.

"Vogue was the magazine that growing up that you really looked at," Campbell said. "It has always been aspirational. It's such a farce that I'm on the cover. I remember looking at the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley March 2011 cover thinking, 'I want to look like that.' That hasn't happened yet, but here I am on the front of the magazine. It's bizarre and so flattering. I mean, why pick me? It's just ridiculous."

Campbell has worked with top names in the fashion industry including Chanel and Burberry. She is currently represented by Viva London, an agency that also includes Natalia Vodianova and Raquel Zimmerman among its bookings list.

"It was like working with a dream team," said Campbell of the shoot. "Joe's styling really is the bomb. It felt like getting ready to go out when I was 17. You're listening to music, getting dressed up and all of a sudden your make-up looks really good and you feel so good. I'm sure that sounds like a bad comparison, but I mean it in the best way. It was an all-day fun day."

After her first feature with Vogue, the model has appeared a number of times in the magazine but has never landed the cover of the prestigious magazine that is regarded by many as the "Fashion Bible."

"This time, it felt more serious," she said. "Joe's styling is high-brow, which I quite like. That purist approach really appealed to me. It felt like the next step."

The April issue of Vogue will be available on stands March 11.
