Ibis Hotels First To Launch New iPhone Sleep Art App

Ibis Hotels, the largest hotel brand in Europe owned by Accor hotels, designed a new Sleep Art App in collaboration with BETC (Brevard Educational Technology Conference) Digital, to enhance the sleeping experience.

Ibis Hotels is first among all economy hotel chain to offer an entertainment app for iPhone users, which uses the phone's motion sensors to capture the movements and sounds of the users while they are asleep and draw an art piece revealing the "art of sleep."

The Sleep Art app is another approach by Ibis hotels' continued dedication toward customers' better experience during their stay.

"Since the launch of the revolutionary Sweet BedTM by ibis last year we have continually invested in research and new technology to guarantee our guests a happy sleep and challenge and exceed the expectations of customers in the economy sector," said Thomas Dubaere, managing director for Accor UK & Ireland. "The Sleep Art app will enable any member of the public, including our guests, to engage with the ibis offer on a creative as well as a functional platform and position ibis as pioneers in the economy hotel sector not only as sleep experts but also as digital innovators."

The Sleep Art app is user friendly with easy options to navigate through the activation. The app is available for free to all users in App store and compatible with latest iOS 5 and 6.

The smart app functions as it is plugged to charge and placed on the mattress. A specific time can be set as alarm, which alerts users with a gentle Sleep Art's music at the given time. The app will run through the night and produce a work of art of the user's night sleep. The work of art will be displayed as the user wakes up and the progress of the art can be seen too.

The users can view the art works saved after every night's sleep and compare their results. Sharing option enables users to share their results via email or Facebook.
