Adele released her comeback single "Hello" last Friday, and while she didn't break the Internet, she did manage to break a record. The English songstress shattered Taylor Swift's Vevo record of most views in 24 hours, E! News reported.

Adele's "Hello" clocked in with 27.7 million views, surpassing Swift's 20.1 million views for "Bad Blood," a four-minute-long mini movie featuring members of the pop star's girl squad. Before Swift, Miley Cyrus held the title with 19.6 million views for "Wrecking Ball," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Xavier Dolan directed the sepia-toned video for "Hello," which marks Adele's musical comeback and the first material she's released since 2012's "Skyfall." Dolan dished on the details of filming the music video, which is the first to feature shots using IMAX technology.

"The shots on IMAX are two shots: mostly the finale on that pond, and there's the shot of her opening her eyes," Dolan told Entertainment Weekly. "I love an introduction like that. It just seemed nice: she had been gone for three or four years. So she's settling in and taking all of those curtains and sheets off, ripping them down from the walls. It's like Adele coming back home."

The British powerhouse will also mark another return, this time to the stages of NBC's "Saturday Night Live," according to Deadline Hollywood. She's scheduled to perform on Nov. 21 for the first time since 2008, when she performed her Grammy-winning hit "Chasing Pavements."
