Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump finally opened up today about what sort of president her father would be while appearing at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C.

"I'm incredibly proud of him; it's an incredibly difficult thing to do," said the 33-year-old, according to Politico. "As a citizen, I love what he's doing. As a daughter, it's obviously more complicated."

During his campaign, the GOP candidate has ruffled more than a few feathers, including Fox News correspondent Megyn Kelly. During an August debate moderated by Kelly, Trump said the correspondent's questions were "ridiculous" and "off-base."

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump told CNN's Don Lemon. "Blood coming out of her wherever."

While Trump has called some women "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals" in the past, his daughter said she thought he would be a great president for women.

Ivanka has been mostly silent during her father's campaign, but in the upcoming weeks she will have a larger role, along with his wife Melania, reported the New York Daily News. The two women will start to make a number of public appearances in order to highlight Trump's support of women's health issues and improve his standing with female voters.
