The summer TV season has ended and for some shows, their last episode will go down as series finales. ABC Family nixed "Chasing Life" after two seasons and USA Network cancelled "Graceland' following its third season.
"Graceland" showrunner Jeff Eastin delivered the bad news via Twitter.
Just got the word, there will be no more #GracelandTV. Thank you to the best cast, crew and fans in television. pic.twitter.com/DylJUIPDx7

The third season of the gritty crime drama ended on cliffhanger, but Eastin tried to look on the bright side. He also gave fans some insight on how Mike and Paige’s relationship would have turned out.

Joni Lefkowitz, executive producer of "Chasing Life," also expressed her disappointment on Twitter. The season ended with cancer plagued April spending her final days in Italy.

It wasn't all bad news for summer TV fans. CBS renewed its freshman series "Zoo" for a second season. The show, based on James Patterson's novel, was the most watched scripted series of the summer.
"'Zoo's' thrilling stories clicked with audiences each week during a very competitive summer," Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment said in a statement. "We're excited for viewers to see where our talented writers cast take them as the adventure continues to unfold during season two in the ultimate fight of man vs. beast.'
"Zoo" will join the new comic thriller "BrainDead" from "The Good Wife" creators Robert and Michelle King on next summer's schedule.
