Get ready for more sexy fun times and killer plot twists by the ladies of "Mistresses." ABC has renewed the soapy summer drama for a fourth season.

The season three finale of "Mistresses" ended on a major cliffhanger as Wilson (Jarod Joseph) dressed as Calista and held Joss (Jes Macallan) at gunpoint. Meanwhile, Calista (Jennifer Esposito) sat her in cell contemplating suicide.

Whether she kills herself or not will have to wait for next summer, but Esposito is unlikely to return after she replaced Alyssa Milano this past season, according to TVLine. Showrunner Rina Mimoun floated the idea of bringing in another women to shake up the lives of Joss, Karen (Yunjin Kim) and April (Rochelle Aytes).

"We would love to invite Jennifer back for as many episodes as she's willing or able to do, but this was a one-year character for us - at the level she's playing this year," Mimoun told TVLine last month. "I mean, we were blown away by her performance, and she brings a certain sparkle, but if we're lucky enough to get a fourth season, we might just want to find a whole different woman to inject into our foursome. We don't want to start with so much baggage for all the other women to get through."

"Mistresses" will return for season four in summer 2016 on ABC.
