Michael Uslan, one of the producers on every single Batman film since 1989, teased a major reveal coming at New York Comic Con this year while on USA Today's Fan Theory Podcast. This has stoked the collective interest of the Internet as most assume it has to do with the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" that will introduce Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe.

Here's what we know: the announcement will be made Oct. 10 at 1:30 PM ET. Uslan did not admit to a specific panel hosting the announcement, but that time does line up with the Batman: The Bat Universe occurring on the Empire Stage in the Javits Convention Center. That panel will include several writers and artists who have worked on Batman stories in the past, and DC Comics has even admitted that there will be "breaking Batman news."

While it's no guarantee, Uslan's involvement with the Batman features suggests that this news does indeed relate to "Dawn of Justice" or, at least, the big screen version of the Dark Knight. But with the film only six months away, what type of big announcement could justify this type of hype? One theory is that Warner Bros. will officially announce the addition of solo Batman films to their DCEU schedule. Over the summer, it was reported that Affleck would direct and co-write a Batman standalone flick set for 2018. Then earlier this month, Warner Bros. was rumored to be considering making Batman the center of their shared cinematic universe after impressive early screenings of "Dawn of Justice."

At the same time, it's entirely possible that this announcement has nothing to do with Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero mashup. DC has several Batman related projects on the docket including the animated movies "Batman '66" and "Batman: Bad Blood." But if we had to guess, we'd say there's a strong chance this announcement will have major ramifications on the DCEU.
