Sigourney Weaver is the latest original "Ghostbusters" star to join the all-female reboot. Director Paul Feig confirmed Weaver has a part in the 2016 movie, although he didn't clarify whether she will reprise her role as Dana Barrett.

The Golden Globe-winning actress' casting follows confirmed appearances by her former co-stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts, who all starred in the original 1984 film and 1989 sequel alongside the late Harold Ramis.

In the first movie, an evil spirit in Barrett's apartment possesess her and the Ghostbusters must save her from destroying the city as the force takes over her body. She comes under attack again in the second movie by the spirit of a malevolent tyrant who needs her new baby to be reborn.

The "Ghostbusters" reboot stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the ghost-busting team with Chris Hemsworth serving as their trusty secretary.

"Ghostbusters" will premiere on July 22, 2016.
