Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have called off their engagement just months after Malik parted ways from One Direction. The 22-year-old former One Direction star and the Little Mix singer have officially split, according to E! News. The two dated for about a year before they got engaged in August 2013, but things have sadly come to an end. It turns out Malik was the one to call off the engagement about two weeks ago, and Edwards is "devastated" over his decision, according to People. They are both currently in Los Angeles, but haven't seen each other since.

"She's been putting on a brave face as Little Mix have had promotion to do," a source told People. "But she's obviously devastated. Perrie's being supported by her band mates, but she's really in pieces about this."

On Monday, Pierre tweeted a photo of herself catching some rays, looking absolutely gorgeous in a tiny bikini, and you can clearly see that she is no longer sporting her engagement ring. A few days before she tweeted, "I've been so out of it lately but I'm back to being happy and everything. I've got the best people with me and I couldn't be happier."

This all comes just a week after Malik revealed that he had signed with RCA Records to start his solo career.

"I guess I never explained why I left," Malik tweeted. "It was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am! #realmusic #RCA."

When Malik left One Direction back in March, millions of fans were also devastated, especially when he said that his decision to leave was so he could live a normal life.

"I'd like to apologize to the fans if I've let anyone down," he said at the time. "But I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."
