A modelling agency has filed a case suing model Constance Jablonski For $3.3 Million after she left the agency to join their rival.
Marilyn Modeling Agency claims to have made Victoria's Secret model Constance Jablonski what she is today by getting her projects from Chanel, Burberry, and other designer companies. Now that the model has left them to join DNA Model Management, Marilyn Modeling Agency is suing Jablonski for $3.3 million.
Along with the model, the agency also plans on suing DNA Model Management for reportedly poaching the 21-year-old model, reports The Daily Mail.
Jablonski former agency hopes to prevent her from working with DNA, accusing the rival agency of "unlawfully attempting to seize the coveted relationships that Marilyn has created and fostered for Jablonski."
The agency also claims "DNA's wrongful conduct is for the purpose of destabilizing Marilyn's business, and causing irreparable damage to its image (and) reputation," saying that models are now hesitant to sign with the agency owing to Jablonski separation.
Jablonski's attorney, Bennett Krasner has justified the models move saying that the agency has failed, on various occasions to collect payment for the work Jablonski had done and didn't put in their best to look for better projects for her.
"At the beginning of her career, she loved working with Marilyn. Unfortunately, all of the people she worked with closely have left. She loves her new agency. It's very supportive." He told The New York Post
The 21-year-old model also took to her Twitter account to explain to her fans her decision to move.
"With a New Year comes new beginnings. After my bookers, many of those I began with at Marilyn and my dearest Marilyn Gaultier left the... agency this past year, I decided to move on to DNA. I'm very excited with the move and I hope you are too!! Wishing all my friends from.... Marilyn all the best with their new beginnings. Thank you to all of you followers and fans, for always supporting me!!" read her tweet.
