R&B singer Tyrese was recently under the streets of the concrete jungle promoting his new album "Black Rose."

"Excuse me everybody. My name is Tyrese. I'm a singer. I left all of the major record labels so that I can do my thing as an independent artist," the Los Angeles native told the crowd of subway car riders during a recent journey under the Big Apple's famous streets. "And I'm on the train. I got my security in case anybody decides to hit me in the neck, and I'm asking that y'all download my new album 'Black Rose.'"

"I'm independent. I'm grass roots. I'm in these streets. I'm a street performer. I'm wit it..." the star announced.

"Black Rose," is reportedly "The Fast and Furious," actor's last music project, according to Fox 5 New York.
