If you haven't noticed, comic book films are kind of a big deal in Hollywood right now. Over the next five years, movie-goers will be bombarded with super powered heroes and villains whether they like it or not. One of those individuals will be Dr. Doom from director Josh Trank's ("Chronicle") "Fantastic Four" reboot.

Toby Kebbell ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes") will be tasked with breathing new life into this iconic and powerful villain. While his take on the character has yet to hit the light of day, Kebbell is already sharing his hopes for Doom's future and they are ambitious, to say the least. Kebbell wants Fox and Marvel to strike a deal so that Doom can enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fight the Avengers.

"You know he destroys Thor," Kebbell said of the character via Cinema Blend. "He punches up all those people. I don't know what the political...I can't get into this. You're going to write this, and I'm going to get destroyed. They're going to sue me, but look: can someone at Marvel and someone at Fox talk, and with Doom, just lend him out, like football? You can have him for the World Cup, that's it! Then just let me go - let me go and destroy Thor, for goodness sake. I'd love to work with those boys."

A deal that would allow both studios to share the rights to the character isn't unprecedented. Marvel and Sony are doing exactly that with Spider-Man, though that deal came together under special circumstances. However, fans shouldn't expect Doom to enter the MCU anytime soon. Fox is rumored to be planning an eventual "Fantastic Four"/ "X-Men" crossover, should "FF" perform well at the box office. That means shared rights discussions with Marvel are a long way away.

Still, fans can dream, can't they?

"Fantastic Four" opens on August 7.
