A Canadian man is facing charges after creating a flying a lawn chair by attaching more than 100 helium-filled balloons to it and floating over Calgary, Canada.

Daniel Boria, 26, took flight on Sunday evening and was arrested after he "jumped from the chair and opened a parachute attached to his back," according to a statement from the Calgary Police Service.

Boria was initially charged with mischief causing danger to life and mischief to property under $5,000, before authroities dropped the latter. Additional federal charges are also pending because of airspace regulations, Boria said, according to thestar.com.

Originally, Boria planned the stunt as a marketing ploy to gain attention for his all-natural cleaning solution company.

He claims to be a seasoned skydiver and intended to parachute down by the Calgary Stampede. His plans were soon derailed when the weather took a turn for the worse and he got blown off course. Boria wound up landing several kilometers away in an industrial field, only suffering minor injuries, according to Mental Floss.

Police are still looking for the lawn chair, which they expect to fall after the balloons pop; Police Chief Kyle Grant told CTV.

"At this point we have no reports of anybody finding anything or anybody being injured," Grant said, according to CTV.
