New images picked up by AppleInsider show a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 5 parts with components that will allegedly be included in the next-generation iPhone 5s model, scheduled to be debuted sometime this fall.

Some of the minor changes to the inner workings of Apple's flagship smartphone include a longer ribbon cable attached to the front display.

The side by side of the front panels was first published on Fanatic Fone. The shots show Apple's next iPhone sporting pretty much the same look as the previous generation. For those who were hoping they wouldn't have to wait until the iPhone 6 to get some kind of phablet sized device from Apple, it appears those hopes have been thoroughly put to rest by the latest images from the company.

In addition to the longer and redesigined ribbon cable on the front panel of the device, the rest of the parts look pretty basic and similar to those found in the iPhone 5. Some screws have been moved and other minor tweaks have been made to the interior. AppleInsider notes the outside of the phone looks basically the same with the front-facing FaceTime camera located directly above the earpiece.

The screws surrounding the Home button remain relatively untouched. Unfortunately for users, this means the iPhone 5s likely won't have support for finger print scanning either when it comes out or in the future. Rumors have been circulating that the company is attempting to develop finger print scanning on the iPhone for a while now and it appears, if these leaked images are correct, that feature won't be available to consumers until at least the iPhone 6.

The company is expected to hold a press event some time in September in order to unveil both the next-generation iPhone 5s as well as the newest iPad and a low-cost iPhone dubbed the iPhone Lite.

Overseas suppliers from Apple are currently gearing up to begin manufacturing the devices. So far the only likely upgrades to the flagship smartphone from Apple are a improved rear-facing camera and a faster processor.
