A new season means a new hairstyle and if there's anything fashion mavens can pick up from the latest runway shows is that hair grooming for this season is actually a mix of the polished and the undone. Below are just some of the best hairstyles to pull off for fall:

UNDONE HAIRSTYLE

BANGS. Fringes or bangs are back this season, as seen on many models at the recent New York Fashion Week. The cut of the bangs is just below the eyelashes, which can be wistfully parted or sided to sort of appear like curtains for the eyes. Kate Middleton's latest hairstyle perfectly shows just how it is worn.

IMPERFECT PART OR BEDHEAD MIDDLE PART. This look was very popular in the 1990s and it's on the runway again this season. Styling is fairly effortless - you want your hair to look like it does when you're just waking up. Use a dry shampoo, such as Dove STYLE+care Volume Dry Shampoo, to add more volume to the hair so that it's more manageable.

LOOSE WAVES. Dry shampoo is also great for controlling loose waves. This hairstyle is a spill-over from summer's laid back look. It's Boho chic-inspired and will look more perfect when air-dried and lightly combed or brushed.

POLISHED HAIRSTYLE

LOW PONYTAIL. While this hairstyle keeps hair in place and looks formal and well-done, it can be worn for any occasion. Yes, even when you're casually dressed! Tie the hair right at the base of the neck and wrap a few strands around the band to achieve a seamless look.

HEADBANDS. Whether it's shiny, made of leather or sleek and simple, wide headbands are also a fad this season. The inspiration comes from the 1970s and it could spell the end of the "undone" hair trend, according to Elle Magazine
