When you're spending almost every hour of the day with someone, it's hard not to get close. For years now, dating rumors have sparked in every season of "Dancing With the Stars" as couples show chemistry on and off the dance floor. While good chemistry on the dance floor makes for better scores and more in sync performances, it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference between good acting and real romance. Over the past 21 seasons, there have been almost too many dating rumors to count, and while fans keep their hopes high, wishing competing couples would turn into real couples, most of the time, the rumors aren't true.

On the current season, the two major dating rumors going around so far are between Derek Hough and Bindi Irwin and Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold. Unfortunately for fans, neither of these rumors seem to be true as these ladies are loyal to the men in their lives.

"There is someone special in my life right now, and I'm really happy with that," Irwin told "Entertainment Tonight" in July, shortly before turning 17 years old. On her July 24 birthday, fans found out who the lucky guy was when wakeboarder Chandler Powell posted an adorable picture of the two to Instagram, letting the world know just how much he cares about her. Ever since Irwin started "DWTS," people have taken her close relationship with Hough — and their impressive routines — as a sign that they could be involved, but Irwin shut these rumors down fast by posting a photo of herself and Powell cozying up together on a lounge chair in between training this past weekend. "Thank you for always making me laugh, helping me to ice my foot when it hurts, making me tea and hugging me when I'm tired," she wrote. "You're amazing." As for Hough, he even joked about his many "DWTS" dating rumors to E! News, saying he's "pretty much dating anyone he's pictured with."

While Skarlatos and Arnold are adorable together and seem to have formed an amazing friendship already, Arnold just married high school sweetheart Sam Cusick a few months ago, according to Heavy. Her Instagram is filled with photos of the two, including plenty from their wedding day. As for those crushing on Skarlatos, the American Hero is still on the market!

While these seem to be the only current season rumors going around so far, there is one weird rumor going around about current pro Val Chmerkovskiy and Kourtney Kardashian, who has never appeared on "DWTS." Apparently, Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, has been "auditioning" various guys to be her next boyfriend ever since she and longtime boyfriend Scott Disick broke up, reported Star magazine, according to Life & Style. "She is literally auditioning men right now," a source told the celebrity gossip magazine. "On the show, it will look like Kourtney is going on blind dates and online dating, looking for Mr. Right. But in actuality, Kris is handpicking guys who will bring spark and drama and excitement to the show." These men include Chmerkovskiy and former "Bachelor" stars Chris Soules and Nick Viall. "[Chmerkovskiy] is someone Kourtney could definitely get excited about," the source added, according to Classicalite. "He could charm the pants off the audience too." Rumors started going around that Chmerkovskiy was dating previous partner Rumer Willis, who he won the competition with last season, but Willis shut those rumors down quick. "No way," she said on "The Howard Stern Show." "Listen, if you're in a room with someone for six hours a day, and you're dating them, and then you get in a fight, you're miserable. There's no way you'll ever win."

Chmerkovskiy's brother Maksim is also involved in a "DWTS" relationship, only this one is with one of the other former pro dancers, Peta Murgatroyd. The two began dating in 2012, but went through a nasty breakup around February 2013, according to Hollywood Take. Rumors started going around that the two were getting back together earlier this year, and Maks confirmed it recently. "Everything's amazing," he told People of their relationship. "She's awesome." Maks even posted a few intimate photos of the two to his Instagram.

One previous "DWTS" partnership still going strong is that of Robert Herjavec, from "Shark Tank," and dancer Kym Johnson. The two sparked relationship rumors from day one of last season when they instantly clicked and, eight months later, the two are still together, according to Hollywood Take. "I'm very grateful. It's been great," Herjavec recently told People, while Johnson added, "we're really happy together."
