Kim Kardashian made her first post-baby appearance yesterday on her mom's new talk show "Kris" through a video chat with Kardashian clan matriarch Kris Jenner, and the fame-loving mama says she is loving life at home, USA Today reports.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I'm just loving life a little too much at home right now," Kardashian told the camera. "But I watch you every single day and you are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just want to say I love you and have an amazing show."

Sean "Diddy" Combs staged it as a surprise for Kris Jenner, who burst into tears at the sight of her daughter. "That really did make my cry!" the Kardashian clan matriarch said.

It's a bit strange to hear Kardashian say she's happy staying at home, as there have been conflicting reports that the reality star mama has been feeling cooped up at home, eager to show off her new baby North West to the world and "sick of being in hiding."  Nonetheless, the star seems to really enjoy her new role as a mom.

At the same time, sources have revealed that new dad Kanye West is loving life as a father, doting on baby Nori and enjoying his time at home with his new family. So sweet! But the question remains: when WILL we get to see the baby ourselves?

Many fans (and the media) speculate that West's strict demands about keeping his daughter away from the limelight and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" have pushed back baby North West's premiere date. Perhaps it's for the best, though, as once baby Nori is revealed to the world, she'll be subject to paparazzi cameras and media attention that may be detrimental.

Kardashian made her first post-baby appearance just in time for her sister Kylie Jenner's Sweet 16 bash, as not to steal the thunder from her sis's big event.
