"Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 3 is coming to Netflix on Aug 4. According to ComicBook, the new trailer for the animated web series has revealed the release date as well as the first look of Prince Lotor, who is the villain of the upcoming season. He has taken over the Galra Empire from his father Emperor Zarkon, who was defeated by the Voltron Force in the last season.

As for the Voltron Force, the "Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 3 trailer makes it clear that Shiro is still missing and the force is not in a position to form Voltron. Notably, the "Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 2 ended on a curious note, leaving viewers with many questions in their mind. The defeat of Zarkon and the entry of Prince Lotor did mean lots of action in the next season. The new enemy presents a completely different challenge to the force.

Though the Voltron Force was able to win in the last season, it was not easy as during the fight, Shiro went missing. His comrade Paladins could only trace his empty cockpit and now viewers are looking forward to see what course of action the Paladins would follow.

Will Keith take charge as the Voltron Force commander? Will he also become the pilot of the Black Lion and thus, make space for Princess Allura to start as a pilot too? Well, all the answers to these questions will come to the fore in "Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 3 which is less than two months away.
