China is said to be willing and very much interested in putting back on track its good ties and relationship with South Korea. But China also said that it still condemns the deployment of THAAD in Seoul and urges the country to resolve the tension.

It can be recalled that China's good relationship and ties with South Korea has been thwarted by the issue and tension on THAAD. Previous reports from Reuters claimed that China is against the deployment of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense in South Korea.

Moreover, due to the strong disagreement of China, it was also reported that the country has been boycotting South Korea's businesses and companies which are operating in China. To illustrate, the Chinese government implemented policies that directly affected the operations of Lotte stores in China.

The Lotte Group of South Korea was the one which directly sponsored the deployment of the U.S. THAAD by approving land swap for the missile defense. As a result, most stores operated and managed by Lotte Group in China suffered as their sales and revenues decreased.

With this, China has been asking South Korea not to support and sponsor the deployment of the THAAD but the latter was also firm in its stand and actions. Further, South Korea even responded that China should not blame them for this tension and issue telling that it was a matter of national security.

The Telegraph just confirmed that China is now willing to talk and discuss things with South Korea particularly with its newly-elected president, Moon Jae-in. Moreover, it was claimed that China is also interested in having bilateral agreements with South Korea provided that Seoul will resolve the tension created by THAADD.

As China restores its ties with South Korea, the two countries are looking forward to resolving tension created by North Korea's missile testing programs. Despite the issue on THAAD, the two countries are willing to work together for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
