Adrian Peterson is currently one best running backs that surprisingly is still available in free agency market today. It is still surprising that the Minnesota Vikings are letting Peterson walk away after being one of the main offensive guys of the team. Though he is not young anymore, many still believe that Peterson still has what it takes to be a primary option on offense of any team.

On the other hand, the New England Patriots are coming off a sensational performance last season. Why not? They are the current Super Bowl champion after successful topping the 31 other teams last season. But now that LeGarrette Blount seems to be not returning, they need fill in that spot and Adrian Peterson is not a bad replacement for him.

According to NFL.com, Adrian Peterson is set to meet with the New England Patriots today hoping that he finally finds a team to take his talent. Though the Patriots already signed former Cincinnati Bengal RB Rex Burkhead three weeks ago, having a high-caliber player like Peterson will further boost up the offense of the Patriots.

Adrian Peterson was the NFL Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year in 2012. He is also a three-time NFL rushing yards leader and a two-time NFL rushing touchdowns leader. In ten season with the Minnesota Vikings, Peterson has recorded 11,747 rushing yards and 97 rushing touchdowns in 123 games he has played.

With all the accolades he already got, Adrian Peterson has never been to a Super Bowl stage before and the New England Patriots could be his ticket going to it. However, Peterson might consider of taking a pay cut to make a deal happen and give him a chance to play for the defending champ next season.
