Most people see the superhero Batman as being an entire loner type of character, which simply isn't true. While the caped crusader does operate on his own, Bruce Wayne almost always has his butler, Alfred Pennyworth, by his side and with Justice League.

Alfred returns to Justice League

The DC Extended Universe was also not an exception, as Jeremy Irons' portrayal of Alfred was Batman's most trusted confidant during "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Irons' Alfred will be returning next year for the upcoming "Justice League" movie.

Don't expect him to be acting differently around the movie's other superheroes. According to Irons, he is still going to keep the same level-headed demeanor that he rocked around in Dawn of Justice.

Irons' Alfred will remain the same

During his recent interview with ComingSoon, Jeremy Irons was asked whether the tonal alterations in Justice League would mean the actor had to alter how he would play Alfred compared to his approach in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Irons simply said no. He believes that Alfred will be staying the same. He also said that he would try to modulate everybody else. Alfred will be seen trying to deal with these people who can do all these extraordinary abilities in a very calm and composed way.

While Batman is the only member of the Justice League without any special abilities, Alfred is going to be much more an everyman than the Caped Crusader himself, so, it's a really welcoming to hear that he won't suddenly deal with any sort of personality shift as the other Justice League members come in.

Justice League release date

Justice League will officially hit the big screen on November 17, 2017, and following that, Jeremy Irons is also expected to reprise his Alfred role again in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie, which doesn't have a confirmed release date as of yet.
