An exciting news for the users associated with Samsung Mobile Company. The Korean tech giant recently rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy A8 first generation holders in India.

Samsung has not always been preferably well-known to update its system in the latest manner promptly. In some cases, it is known to be the last provider of major OS upgrades, especially for devices that fall under the mid-range category.

But now, Samsung has finally acquainted it's one of the mid-ranges smartphones, which took the lead last year, with the newest Android Marshmallow.

The phone was launched in August 2015 and it took more than a year for Samsung to make available the up-to-date technology to Samsung users.

The phone rolled out with Android 5.1 Lollipop onboard and now it has been able to upgrade itself to Marshmallow update, which is still not the up-to-date version of the OS released by Google.

One more essential update to keep in mind is that the upgrade is available solely for the dual-SIM version. The update comes with a variety of interesting features.

With further improvements and advancements, users will get to experience the September security patch, which will also be seen on other Samsung high-end, latest gadgets.

Moreover, users may come across interface changes and jaw-dropping additions rendering stability within the system. The update will also address speed optimizations and will fix numerous bugs that have been previously reported.

It also highlights new Doze battery saving feature to dim the background lights in order to save the battery when the smartphone is in standby mode.

"Android Marshmallow comes with brings the Doze battery optimisation feature, improved 'Now on Tap' search option, support for more international dialects, silent mode to the sound profile, a do-not-disturb option, performance-enhancing optimisations, enhanced boot security system, and many more", reported IB Times.

The update weighs around 800MB. So make sure you are connected to your Wi-Fi in order to avoid data charges.

As per Mobile India, "The Samsung Galaxy A8 2015 was launched in India at Rs 32,500 in August last year. Samsung Galaxy A8 is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa Core (1.8GHz Quad Core + 1.3GHz Quad Core) processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The smartphone now runs on the latest Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system. It has an internal memory of 32GB which can be further expanded to 128 GB via micro SD card".

In other reports, it is suggested that Samsung will soon be stretching out the latest android Nougat update to its flagship phones such as Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
