Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P were the first fortunate smartphones to get the newest Android 7.0 Nougat update.

These are few of the perks of owning a Nexus, you will always be one of the first to get your hands into Android updates. Samsung, Huawei, Sony and other brands take months before they tweak their own Android version and roll-out to their devices.

However, can these Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P users really be considered lucky?

Complaints about the Android 7.0 Nougat update from Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have been starting to pour in as soon as Android users started to update.

Nexus 5X owners have complained of a "bootloop issue", which cannot be solved by cache partition and even returning to factory setting.

Google through an employee named Orrin has acknowledged the issue and disclosed that only a number of the LG made Nexus device is affected. He also noted that the issue may be connected with the hardware.

But the Google employee also suggested for the owners to contact their place of purchase for warranty or repair.

In conclusion, once affected by the bootloop issue, Nexus 5X becomes totally irreparable.

It must be noted that Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box when they were released in September 2015. Android 7.0 Nougat is their first major software update.

Meanwhile, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE owners still continue to wait for Android 7.0 Nougat update, which Google says will happen very soon.

Is Android 7.0 Nougat really worth the hassle and even, long wait (especially for non-Nexus users)?

Android 7.0 Nougat supposed new thrilling features include Multi-window (users can access two apps simultaneously), Quick Switch (easy switch to the previous app using the multi-tasking button) and VR support or Daydream (for more immersive VR experience).

As mentioned earlier in the article, only a number of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have trouble updating to Android 7.0 Nougat. If you happen to be one of them, contact Google or place of purchase immediately.
