Just last week, the Tennessee Titans pumped up talk of trade interest in the first-overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. After having selected Marcus Mariota in the first-round last year, but facing a roster with plenty of holes elsewhere, the Titans and GM Jon Robinson are hoping that someone will pony up enough draft dough to make it worth their while to drop down out of the first slot and pick up a handful of extra selections.

Interestingly enough, it seems like the Titans may not be alone in their desire to move back. The Cleveland Browns, though they would seem a logical landing spot for one of the top two quarterbacks available in the 2016 NFL Draft, Carson Wentz or Jared Goff, are now also talking up trade interest in their pick in the first-round, No. 2 overall.

Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown said Wednesday that there has been trade interest in Cleveland's pick.

Add that to recent reports that the Browns are considering - or hoping for - a move back on draft day and a quarterback in the second or later, and it's certainly starting to seem like the new Browns brass is more concerned with adding roster depth than they are nabbing a player who could potentially become a long-term, elite starting NFL signal-caller.

Or maybe they simply don't believe either Wentz or Goff have a high-level of play in their future.

Either way, there's no denying Cleveland has a plethora of holes that need filling. If a team like the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles or Chicago Bears identifies either Wentz or Goff as the future face of their franchise, it sure sounds like the Browns would at the very least be willing to consider it.

But while the free agent addition of Robert Griffin III gives the Browns some breathing room where a long-term starter at the game's most important position is concerned, don't think for a second that the team is planning for RGIII to be the starter well into the future.

Instead, RGIII buys them time - and yes, a potential starter if he defies, well, all the odds - as they sort out the future of a franchise that hasn't posted a winning season since 2007 and hasn't secured a playoff berth since 2002.
