India Women will take on West Indies Women in a Group B encounter of the Women's T20 World Cup 2016 Sunday at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Hosts India Women face a must win situation when they take on strong West Indies on Sunday. Group leader England has already been qualified for semi-finals with six points from three wins. The West Indies and Pakistan are better placed to seal a semi-final berth.

Indian ladies have a slim chance of getting a berth in semi-finals from Group B. The Mithali Raj-led side won just one of three league matches, while the West Indies won two of three encounters. India Women, who suffered a two-wicket loss to England in their previous encounter, need to win Sunday's encounter against the West Indies in order to stay in hunt for semi-finals.

"We are in contention. If we win against West Indies, we will have to depend on other results. We realised it was difficult to score runs. We could have shown more application with the ball to pull us through," Indian women skipper Mithali Raj said after a narrow loss against England on Tuesday.

West Indies also suffered a narrow defeat against England in their third league match at Dharamshala on Thursday after winning their first two WT20 encounters against Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"We kind of pulled things back after England's good start and that is where most of us got emotional. It was almost there for the taking," West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor said. "It's actually hard when you look back at it, but it's already done. You cannot change anything, but look at the positives from the last game and implement them. The vibe in the team is good and we could bounce back."
